Camp Moneto Prepares for the Future
Nashville, IN

November 7, 2011

Camp Moneto, an Impact 2818 camp, has over 700 beautiful acres of land and is located in Brown County just off of Highway 46. The site has been well developed throughout it’s history with a unique infrastructure of roads, utilities, lodges, program spaces, and ideal recreational features including a pool, climbing wall, hiking trails and some of the best natural spaces to adventure on throughout Indiana.

Impact 2818 and the Camping Board are in the process of visioning and redeveloping the program and operational plans that will fully utilize this resource in reaching students with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

In November 2011, Camp Moneto will have its last retreat group of the season. At that time it will be winterized as normal but it will not be re‐opened in the spring of 2012. Instead, an operational hiatus will be in place for the next 12-24 months while this new vision unfolds and is laid completely into place. In the interim, an Impact 2818 senior staff member will temporarily move onto the site to maintain facilities and give a secure presence for the future.

Your prayers for the planning and vision team as well as Camp Moneto’s future campers are greatly appreciated in the months ahead.
